Muslim Kids Radio #2: The story of Sinan and the Clock an Original MuslimKidsTV story!

LEVEL: Pre-K +        LANGUAGE: English

It was the time for Ramadan Again. Sinan was now 5 years old. he was really excited because today would be the day that he would eat Sahur with his family for the very first time.

Sinan could not get to sleep.

He watched the clock and watched the clock and watched the clock tic-toc-tic-toc...

But the time did not seem to pass by quickly enough.

Sinan went into Grandma Hatice's room and she was asleep.

Next he went into his mom and dad's room.

In a quiet voice Sinan said "mom... mom is it time for sahur yet?"

"No honey we will wake you up when the time comes mom said, we will wake up around 4:00 AM" mom said.

Half an hour passed by and Sinan went back to bed, but....

Sinan could not get to sleep.

He watched the clock and watched the clock and watched the clock tic-toc-tic-toc

But the time did not seem to pass by quickly enough.

Sinan went into Grandma Hatice's room and she was asleep

Next he went into his mom and dad's room

But this time he thought, "maybe if I make the clock go ahead the time will pass as well."

Sinan took the clock and moved it ahead and then.....

Ring Ring Ring!

...the alarm went off waking up mom and Dad.

"Is it time is it time yet?"- everyone woke up Grandma, Sinan's mom and dad.

"No honey" his mother said

"What happened to my clock? is not time yet" - Dad said

Mom and that were very upset... Sinan was very afraid of telling the truth, but he remembered that mom said that all good muslims must tell the truth and never lie inshallah.

So, he said "Mom I did it. I am sorry".

His dad smile and said: "Let's go to your room and we will tuck you in".

Sinan's mom sang and he fell asleep he dreamt of all the wonderful things to eat during sahur.

"Sinan! Sinan wake up honey bun! Sahur is ready love"- Said mom.

Sinan was happy the family gathered around the meal cloth and ate and prayed.

Sinan went back to sleep after brushing his teeth and that day he told everyone in school about his first sahur. What a happy day!
